Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026 · Part of our Terms of Use
We try to keep these rules reasonable, human-readable, and short. Push notifications land directly on people's screens — that reach only stays valuable, and only stays deliverable, if every message sent through us is one the recipient asked for.
Intended purpose
The Service exists for one thing: sending web push notifications to visitors of your own websites who have explicitly opted in through their browser's native permission prompt. Content updates, product news, alerts your subscribers want — that's the job. It is not a bulk-messaging cannon, an ad network, or a way to reach people who never asked to hear from you.
Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to send or promote:
- Notifications to anyone who has not opted in via the browser permission prompt, or after they have unsubscribed
- Malware, phishing, or links to deceptive or cloned websites
- Fraud, scams, or misrepresentation of who you are
- Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or your subscribers'
- Hate speech, harassment, or advocacy of violence
- Content infringing others' intellectual property or privacy rights
You also may not probe, overload, or attempt to circumvent the Service's security, rate limits, or quotas, and you may not resell access without our written permission.
Our anti-spam commitment
Opt-in is enforced by the platform itself: browsers only issue a push subscription after the visitor grants permission, every notification we deliver carries a signed one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes take effect immediately. We monitor delivery patterns, and accounts generating spam complaints are suspended. We take this seriously for a selfish reason too: spam from one customer damages delivery reputation for everyone else on the platform.
If you received a notification you believe is abusive, deceptive, or unlawful — or you're a site owner who believes a site using our Service is violating this policy — please contact us with the site domain and the notification content (a screenshot helps). We investigate every report promptly, we will take the time to track down violations, and we act on what we find. Reporters are never identified to the reported account.
Enforcement
Spam, malware, phishing, and fraud earn immediate suspension — sending stops, subscriber collection stops, and API access is revoked while we investigate. For lesser or ambiguous violations we will contact you first where practicable and give you a chance to fix the problem. Suspended account owners may appeal via our contact page; intentional abuse leads to permanent termination and, where appropriate, reports to hosting providers and law enforcement. No refund is owed for a for-cause termination (see the Terms).
